Guys, the wait is finally over! The Staff Selection Commission has just released the final result for Senior Secretariat Assistant/Upper Division Clerk Grade LDCE 2024 today (June 30, 2025). I know many of you have been anxiously checking the SSC website for months, and honestly, this result has some surprising developments.
Let me break down everything that happened and what it means for all the aspirants who appeared for this exam.
The Long Journey – From May 2024 to Today
Remember when SSC conducted both the computer test and descriptive paper on the same day back in May 13, 2024? That was quite unusual, but it happened. Since then, it’s been a roller coaster ride for all candidates.
The whole process was for these 10 departments:
- Central Vigilance Commission
- Railway Board Secretariat Clerical Service
- Armed Forces Headquarters Clerical Service
- Election Commission of India
- Central Administrative Tribunal
- Central Translation Bureau
- Central Passport Organization (External Affairs Ministry)
- Soil and Land Use Survey of India
- Forest Survey of India
- Ministry of Tourism
Quick note: Today’s result doesn’t include Election Commission of India and Central Translation Bureau – they’ll probably announce separately.
What Happened Step by Step
June 14, 2024: SSC declared CBE results – only 32 candidates qualified for the descriptive paper. Yeah, that’s right, just 32 out of thousands who appeared!
September 19, 2024: After checking the descriptive papers, 23 candidates made it to the final stage where they evaluate your service records and APARs.
Today (June 30, 2025): Final result is out, and honestly, the numbers will shock you.
The Brutal Reality – Vacancy vs Selection Numbers
Here’s where it gets really tough to digest. Look at these vacancy numbers:
| Department | Total Vacancies | What Actually Happened |
| Central Vigilance Commission | 1 | No one selected |
| Railway Board Secretariat | 12 | No one selected |
| Armed Forces HQ | 33 | No one selected |
| Central Administrative Tribunal | 20 | Only 3 selected |
| Forest Survey of India | 8 | Only 4 selected |
Total vacancies available: 74
Total selected: Just 7 candidates
This is heartbreaking, isn’t it? So many vacancies, but hardly anyone could make it through the tough selection process.
The Two Departments That Had Selections
Central Administrative Tribunal
- They had 20 vacancies but could fill only 3 positions
- Cut-off marks: 212.00
- One interesting thing – they selected 1 ST category candidate at general (UR) level, which shows the quality of competition
Forest Survey of India
- They had 8 vacancies and selected 4 candidates
- Same cut-off: 212.00 marks
- Again, 1 ST candidate qualified at UR standard
Why So Many Departments Couldn’t Fill Vacancies?
This is the million-dollar question everyone’s asking. Three major departments – Armed Forces HQ (33 vacancies!), Railway Board (12 vacancies), and Central Vigilance Commission couldn’t select even a single candidate.
This tells us how incredibly tough the competition has become. Either candidates didn’t score enough marks, or there weren’t enough qualified candidates available for these specific departments.
How SSC Decided Rankings When Marks Were Same
You know how sometimes two students get exactly the same marks? SSC had a fair system for this:
- First priority: Whoever scored better in the descriptive paper (Paper-II)
- Second priority: Better marks in Part B of the computer test
- Final tie-breaker: Age – older candidates got preference
This seems pretty fair to me, giving weightage to the descriptive paper which tests your Hindi/English writing skills.
What Selected Candidates Should Do Now
If you’re one of the lucky 7, congratulations! But don’t celebrate too early. Here’s what you need to know:
Your selection is still provisional. This means:
- SSC will verify all your documents thoroughly
- They’ll match your photos, signatures, handwriting with your application
- Any discrepancy can lead to cancellation
So please, keep all your original certificates ready and don’t take any shortcuts during verification.
For Those Who Didn’t Make It
I know this result is disappointing for many of you. But here’s some hope – SSC will soon upload detailed marks of all candidates. This will help you understand:
- Where you scored well and where you lost marks
- How close you were to the cut-off
- Which sections need more preparation for future exams
Use this as a learning opportunity. Government job competition is getting tougher each year, but that doesn’t mean you should give up.
Some Quick Questions People Are Asking
Where to Check Your Detailed Marks
Visit ssc.gov.in and look for the results section. SSC said they’ll upload detailed scorecards “shortly” – you know how their “shortly” works, so keep checking regularly!
My Take on This Result
This LDCE 2024 result shows us the harsh reality of government job competition today. With a success rate of less than 1%, it’s become one of the toughest selections ever.
But here’s what I want to tell all aspirants – don’t get disheartened. Every year, lakhs of candidates appear for various SSC exams, and only a few thousand get selected. The key is consistent preparation and not giving up after one setback.
For those selected – you’ve achieved something incredible. For others – learn from this experience and come back stronger.

Final Words
This LDCE result has been quite a reality check for all of us. The competition is brutal, standards are sky-high, and only the absolute best are making it through.
But remember, every successful government employee was once where you are today – preparing, appearing, sometimes failing, but never giving up. Your time will come too.
Keep preparing, stay positive, and don’t let one result define your future. The government job dream is still achievable – it just requires more dedication and smarter preparation.
All the best for your future endeavors!
