JIO Tech Recruitment 2025 Job Description
The post of JIO-II/Tech is a Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial position. The role involves handling technical operations, electronic systems, computer applications, and other specialised tasks vital to national security.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma in Engineering (Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electrical & Electronics, IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Applications)
- B.Sc. Degree with Electronics/Computer Science/Physics/Mathematics
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Applications (BCA)
Age Limit:
- 18 to 27 years (as on 14.09.2025)
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC: +3 years
- Departmental candidates (with 3 years of service): up to 40 years
- Widows/divorced women: up to 35 (UR), 38 (OBC), 40 (SC/ST)
- Ex-servicemen & Sportspersons: as per Govt. rules
Selection Process
The recruitment will be conducted in three stages:
- Tier-I (Written Exam – Online MCQs, 100 Marks, 2 Hours)
- General Mental Ability (25%)
- Subject-based questions as per qualification (75%)
- Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer
- Tier-II (Skill Test – Practical/Technical, 30 Marks)
- Tier-III (Interview/Personality Test – 20 Marks)
Final selection will be based on combined performance in all three tiers.
